Due to continued student growth Central Coast Sports College (CCSC) are seeking Science, STEM-focused teachers along with a Creative Arts teacher to commence Term 1, 2020

The willingness to drive innovative student-led projects in Years 3-8.

The successful applicant must also to be willing to teach other KLA’s. New graduates are welcome to apply.  

Science & STEM Roles

We are seeking teachers of Science and or STEM to commence Term 1, 2020 or earlier.  The willingness to drive innovative student-led projects in Years 3-8 using both the NSW Science & Technology and Mandatory Technology syllabi.

The successful applicant must also to be willing to teach other KLA’s. 

Creative Arts Role

We are also seeking an outstanding middle school teacher of Creative Arts to commence Term 1, 2020 or earlier.  The willingness to drive innovative student-led projects in Years 3-8 is necessary. 

The position requires a creative and passionate teacher with a background in art appreciation, painting, photography and design.  The successful applicant will have experience or a willingness to learn about the production of digital artworks including painting, photography, drawing, desktop publishing, design, animation, sound and video production. The applicant should be willing to integrate the aspects of the Mandatory Technology syllabus into their teaching. 

The successful applicant must also to be willing to teach other KLA’s. 

Qualifications and experience

  • University degree in related teaching discipline – bachelor of teaching/education
  • Accredited teacher status in NSW with the NESA
  • Working with Children's check approval
  • Current First Aid Certificate

Knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the 3-8 curriculum
  • Be passionate about creating and delivering a highly innovative, child-centred curriculum, focused on individual pathways 
  • Well developed classroom management skills and embrace an open learning environment
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative team member skills in co-operative planning
  • Ability to develop differentiated learning programs to meet the individual learning needs of students
  • Competency and engagement in eLearning pedagogy as applicable to this age group
  • Understanding of effective formative assessment
