About our Client

Our Client is an open cut coal mine in the Bowen Basin Region of Central Queensland, that is located 120 kilometres from Mackay, supplies up to eight million tonnes of hard coking coal to steel mills in Asia and Europe each year. This is one of Australia's leading mining companies with an established record for developing and managing world standard open cut, as well as underground, coal mines. This Mine is an example of the company providing more than simply providing local employment opportunities and ensuring economic growth for the area as it also works to create positive outcomes for the wider Mackay Region.

 

About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking experienced Dump Truck Operators to work at Hail Creek in the Bowen Basin on a 7/7 roster working Straight day and Night Shift. Our Client is ideally looking for candidates that have proven experience working in mining establishments. This position will include training to comply with the mine sites policies for those successful candidates that have not been employed to work on a mine site prior.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile plant equipment Minimum experience 785
  • Work 7/7 rosters
  • Pre-start checks
  • Operate equipment safely
  • Follow company policies and procedures

 

Skills/Experience:

  • Min 12 months experience operating above mentioned equipment
  • RII's, Site Authorisations, Training Transcripts Mandatory
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current Coal Board Medical
  • Standard 11 Surface Induction
  • Production oriented with a focus on achieving results for both yourself and for the company
  • High levels of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
  • A medical including drug and alcohol testing is required as part of the recruitment process.
