About the role
The Human Resources team are committed to supporting Western Australia’s leading tertiary hospital, by providing HR consultation and support to build a safe, diverse, qualified, healthy and engaged workforce. The HR Advisor (HRMS) will provide a high volume and quality integrated HR advisory service to our client, the Department of Health employees at Fiona Stanley Hospital in accordance with Service Definition parameters and public sector policy and legislative and regulatory frameworks. These services will include enterprise agreement, award and policy interpretation, fitness for work support to injury management teams, induction and orientation, change management activities, informal grievance resolution advice and support, performance management, recruitment and selection, facilitating training sessions, reporting and compliance activities. The role will also provide opportunity for development in areas of HR projects, including initiatives to support employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, learning and development and strategic workforce management.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Tertiary level qualification in a relevant discipline or be working towards.
  • Extensive experience in providing high quality HR advice, preferably in an operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy and legislation interpretation and application to HR business support and advisory services.
  • Experience working in a complex environment in a medium to large organisation.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to identify key stakeholders and build influential relationships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in a variety of HR skills including recruitment, employee relations, grievance management, performance management, change management, non-work-related injury management and HR administration.
  • A belief in continuous improvement processes.
  • A track record of delivering value-add impact in a fast-paced environment.
