Strata Manager

Civium Property Group has an exciting opportunity for a passionate, experienced Strata Manager who is committed to providing strong customer service to our Strata Owners and Executive Committee members. This position is based in our North Strathfield (Sydney) office; starting salary will be commensurate with experience.

The Strata Manager is directly responsible for the successful management of a portfolio of 70-75 properties. In addition, they assist in the delivery of the Company’s growth strategy through a high retention rate of properties by meeting and exceeding client expectations. The Strata Manager will work closely with their Branch Manager, in developing strategies and plans to achieve business growth and individual goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders by telephone, email, in writing and attend face-to-face meetings.
  • Meeting preparation and follow up.
  • Host/chair Annual General, Executive Committee, and any other meetings as required.
  • Financial reporting including general accounting and budgeting.
  • Invoicing of levies/service charges.
  • Monitor arrears and where necessary, implement collection procedures.
  • Contract management.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks.
  • Enforce rules and by-laws through issuing of notices, orders and certificates.
  • General administrative tasks.
  • Other tasks as required from time to time and as directed by the Branch Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Two to three years' strata management experience required.
  • Must have current Strata Managing Agent’s registration with Fair Trading NSW (per the Property Stock and Business Agents Act 2002) and comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the NSW legislative requirements for this role; being licensed would be a bonus. 
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles; understanding of financial reporting, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain strong relationships with people and maintain qualities such as tact and understanding.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Own vehicle and current drivers’ licence.
