We’re Bunnings, and we’re all about providing the best home improvement across Australia and New Zealand. We’re all about offering our customers the widest range of DIY products at the lowest prices, but best of all providing a service that is second to none.

Our warehouses provide an endless source of inspiration. Working in our warehouses, you not only get to wear jeans to work, you’ll sport the unmistakable red shirt and green apron, ready to lend a helping hand.

Just like any home improvement project, the challenges we face can be both simple or complex, changing everyday depending on the people who walk through our stores. That’s why we do what we do, building solutions to everyday problems.

As a Department Manager, you will have the very meaningful job of leading the day to day store operation, ensuring your team build memorable experiences and make your customers DIY projects a reality. Your store will be your pride and joy – you’ll use visual merchandising to your best advantage, aligning this to store marketing plans.

  • Support the store leadership team
  • Set an example of best service and support the team to deliver friendly and helpful advice to customers
  • Coach the team on the right service behaviours
  • Assist with induction and training the team
  • Ensure that merchandising standards fit with business requirements
  • Coordinate stock

What we need from you:

  • Experience leading a team 25+ in a fast-paced environment
  • A real passion for customer service and for developing others
  • Ability to coach and develop others, providing feedback and getting the best out of a team
  • An ability to achieve results and standards by working with your team.
  • Experience in rostering, leading budgets, merchandising and people management
  • A strong safety awareness that reinforces positive behaviours
  • An opportunity to work rotational rosters, public holidays and weekends

What we can offer:

  • A competitive salary package, including a generous bonus and share plan.
  • A team-focused workplace that supports flexibility, diversity and inclusion.
  • Team member and spouse discount.
  • 12 weeks Paid Prental Leave for eligible team members.
  • A work environment that encourages learning and offers you a dynamic career path.
  • Chances to create a real difference in your community and environment

Retaining an inclusive, family feel while growing into one of Australia and New Zealand's largest and most widely recognised brands has come naturally to us and we’d love to welcome you to the family.
