HR Manager

Fintech Services (Australia) Pty Ltd provides expertise to operating entities including Fair Go Finance, among others, to support and drive its vision “to be a market leader in online credit solutions, through innovation, technology and services to add value to the lives of its customers”

Fintech Services (Aust) Pty Ltd (FSA) provides expertise to other businesses, including Fair Go Finance, to support and drive their growth. Reporting to the group CEO, you will lead the HR function to ensure performance within FSA and other group entities.  

As part of the executive team you will be involved in; 

  • Strategy development, providing HR expertise and leadership; and 
  • Strategy implementation via relevant policy development, recruitment, training & development, performance management, HR projects and other initiatives 

This is a key leadership role to support the learning and development of the organisation, provide HR support to senior managers, and embed a culture of high performance across the organisation.  

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Board, Executive and Senior Leadership to develop and implement the HR plan and strategy for Fintech Services Australia and other operating entities.  
  • Manage HR budget and ensure all expenditure is within authorised allocations.  
  • Career and skills planning to align with future business needs and development of talent and retaining staff. 
  • Collaboration / partnership with Executives and Senior leaders in developing and implementing strategies and processes within projects and initiatives with a focus on employee engagement, Performance Management, systems and processes, business transformation and change management.  
  • Management of activities covering all aspects of an employee “lifecycle” including recruitment, employee contracts, onboarding, performance development, training, communication, remuneration for staff at all levels in the organisation. 
  • Continuously review human resources processes to ensure best practice and adherence to relevant standards, legislation, IR policies and procedures.  
  • Develop and implement a training plan and manage training initiatives across the company 
  • Provide reporting and manage the relationship with the Executives of other operating entities of the Group company.  
  • Management of workforce planning including forecasting needs, job design and evaluation 
  • Develop, monitor and review the performance management system ensuring that appropriate plans are in place to manage succession, retention, talent and career development. 
  • Ensure the culture within the various entities aligns with the respective business model and that this is reinforced through customised policies.  
  • Within FSA, model the company’s values and promote the vision internally and externally. 
  • Develop and maintain respectful, supportive, collaborative and responsive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Select and maintain HR related systems to ensure employee documentation is accessible and accurate for all staff.  
  • Remain up to date with any advancements in tools, software and education (through events or online certifications).

Experience 

  • Over 5 years’ experience in a similar position. 
  • Demonstrated HR Leadership and operational experience across the full HR generalist remit  
  • Expertise in coaching and developing staff and teams. 

Competencies 

  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work in partnership with senior leaders, managers and staff to implement organisational improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and time management skills. 
  • Conceptual thinking to analyse problems and work with stakeholders to develop commercial solutions. 
  • Ability to work in a small and fast-paced team environment. 

Qualifications 

  • Degree qualified in Human Resource Management or equivalent Business discipline.
