Draftsperson - Architectural Steel Fabrication

A dynamic position which requires you to liaison with internal and external stakeholders regarding drawings and design concepts. Opportunity to work directly with the production team and produce 2D and 3D drawings in CAD system.

The purpose of the Draftsperson is to assist with the production and development of drawings, models, designs and material requirements for various projects. The Draftsperson is a key link between managers, design team, and suppliers.

Key requirements and skills:

  • Ability to consul and produce 2D & 3D drawings and models for various projects
  • Provide technical advice and support
  • Control documents relating to drafts, variations and final copies of drawings produced
  • Liaise and assist with Contract / Project Management
  • Liaising with internal and external customers regarding drawings
  • Strong experience using CAD 2D and 3D drafting programs (2-3 years)
  • Previous experience in Handrail & Balustrade design and drafting
  • Completed an Engineering, Drafting or Design qualification at Technical College level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills

Hallam location
Working Hours: 8am – 4:30pm Mon – Fri
