OPERATIONS MANAGER - SUPPORTED ACCOMMODATION

My client is one of the largest disability service and supported accommodation providers in Australia. An employer of choice, a not-for-profit charity that employs thousands of people across hundreds of locations providing vital disability services.

The new role of Operations Manager - 'Home' will provide strategic leadership for delivery of supported accommodation and in-home services operating 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

You will oversee the operations of almost 20 locations from North Brisbane to Brisbane West and down to the Gold Coast.
These accommodation services support people with disability who want to live independently by providing flexible options for living arrangements and tailoring supports to match the customer’s and family/carer’s needs in alignment with their NDIS plan and goals. We are recruiting someone very unique to grow these services.

The Role
This position requires previous experience running large, multi-site facilities in aged care or disability, with a solid understanding of operational structures, financial acumen and commercial awareness.

  • Manage the financial performance of sites through effective administration of funding, billing, budgeting and operating expenditure in line with budget and strategic aspirations.
  • Ensure operational expenses are maintained to sustain positive margin outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate business activities to improve operational performance.
  • Actively seek and develop new business, maximise cross-functional customer growth opportunities across other portfolios, increasing customer base and revenue.

Key Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications across business, social services or community services.
  • It is vital you have previous experience in a multi-site supported accommodation leadership role with a focus on profitability, quality management frameworks, safety leadership and customer service excellence.
  • Solid understanding of disability services provision and NDIS.
  • Previous experience managing complex multi-portfolio operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the National Standards Disability Services and Quality & Safeguarding Framework.
  • Proven operational performance management skills.
  • Financial management skills including general finance and budgeting, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management.
  • Current Drivers Licence and a reliable motor vehicle.
