Production Superintendent - Pulp

BASED IN MARYVALE - 2 hours from Melbourne CBD

 

The Position:

To provide leadership and procedures that delivers pulp production and improves the pulp quality and sustainability to achieve customer satisfaction. This role reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving production targets through the execution of the Daily Operating Plan and the optimal use of resources at your disposal.
  • Working with your area personnel to cultivate ideas and problem solve into Small Group Activity projects aimed at reducing costs, improving plant efficiency and product quality.
  • Setting and maintaining performance standards
  • Enforcing the Safety Principles of the site
  • Meeting health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Ensuring area personnel have a clear understanding of their roles, the context and purpose of their work, and providing feedback on individual performance.
  • Preparing and executing production shut plans in conjunction with maintenance personnel.
  • The continuous improvement of CKM/BP operations.
  • Ensure standard compliance to all requirements related to the operations of the Chemical Plant and Major Hazard Facility Requirements.

The successful person will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Pulping & Bleaching Experience. 
  • Chemical Based Tertiary Qualification or 3-5 years experience in Pulping Operations.
  • Experience within a Major Hazard Facility or site.
  • Major Chemical experience. 
  • Excellent Problem solving skills
  • Sound communication Skills
  • Ability to think, communicate and influence change.
  • Ability to work with various computer programs and demonstrate commitment to maintain and update technical knowledge.
