Client Relationship Officer - Trade Finance


About the role:

We currently have an opportunity for a passionate customer service star and team player to join our Trade Finance operations team based in NSW, as a Client Relationship Officer.

 

You will support your Client Relationship Manager in providing excellent customer service and funding for a portfolio of Trade Finance SME businesses (our clients), whilst simultaneously protecting Scottish Pacific’s risk position by ensuring the invoices we are lending against are verified and not fraudulent.

 

  • Liaison with clients, suppliers and China staff with the collation of information required to complete eTrade transaction process.
  • Ensure correct data entry of all facets of transactions and clients / debtors, including daily entry of Tradeline customer payments.
  • Assisting CRM with insurance reporting.
  • Check commercial invoices issued against tracking report.
  • Monthly preparation of Pro Forma invoices for Introducers and ensuring Introducers Tax Invoices are processed for payment.
  • Assist CRM in the completion of Monthly Sales Report.
  • Completion of Tradeline Credit Performance Report.

Import Finance / Export Finance:

  • Liaison with DF CRMs and clients regarding information requirement of Import/Export Finance transactions. Processing of transactions by the timely verification of purchase orders, completion of the Import Finance Worksheet and New Transaction Checklist.
  • Assessing credit risk for the nominated portfolio, by analysing financial statements, purchase orders, assessing credit reports, obtaining credit insurance limits and limit reviews. Awareness and compliance with SP Credit Policy.

General:

  • Advising CRM of any concerns with the transaction information collected.

Your skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in a client-facing / customer service position
  • Financial services industry experience is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Good level of initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with account reconciliations and/or business lending administration experience and thrive in a fast-paced working environment. Debtor or trade finance experience would be beneficial but is not required. You will need enthusiasm and a willingness to learn about what is a fascinating, rapidly-growing and complex part of our business.
