This role supports the operational, administrative and employee requirements of the office to ensure a cohesive and effective workplace.

Key areas of accountability: 

  1. Provide local administrative support to the Nature in Cities and Seed Services NSW teams. This will include a small amount of time spent at our Richmond site.

  2. First point of contact for public, volunteer and staff enquiries. 

  3. Central point of contact for organisational/administrative information and delivery. 

  4. Assist with the management of internal and external events. 

  5. Responsible for the maintenance of office equipment and general facilities maintenance.  

  6. Coordinate and manage all PPE, WHS and uniform stocks. 

  7. Responsible for fleet management including registrations and insurance. 

  8. Assist with the preparation and submission of Commercial Services tenders and proposals. 

  9. Organise staff training and development as required 

  10. Assist with HR functions as required 

Essential criteria

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in a relevant field; 

  • Demonstrated ability in Project Administration and Office Management;   

  • Demonstrated ability in HR administration; 

  • Demonstrate appropriate sensitivity and confidentiality when working with personnel information; 

  • Well developed information technology skills and proven ability to effectively use various word processing, databases and other software packages;  

  • High level organisational skills including the proven ability to set priorities, manage variable workloads and show initiative, flexibility, good judgment and discretion 

  • High level of oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as an individual or as a member of a team, together with the ability to work effectively and with minimal supervision.
