Business Operations Manager - Digital Consultancy

Join an entrepreneurial team of designers, engineers, architects, digital product gurus and investors for a global Digital consultancy, situated in Sydney.

Reporting to the People & Operations Director, we're seeking a Business Operations Manager to oversee and lead all business operations functions within the business, including but not limited to; IT, Client Services, Admin and Office Services.

Candidates with a consultancy background will be favoured and we're looking for a real strategic thinker.
  • Support and drive internal strategic initiatives across all operational teams
  • Real estate and facilities management, including future real estate planning and ensuring current facilities meet growth needs and align with upcoming and future ventures
  • Creation, roll out and ownership of processes and tools to improve efficiency
  • Risk management, policy compliance
  • Manage operating costs of the business - focus on efficiency, cost control, profitability
Personal requirements:
  • People management skills, fostering high-performing teams
  • Exposure and experience managing against operational risk including data security, contingent workforce, emergency planning
  • Strategic and creative problem solving skills that can be leveraged in creation and execution of operational strategy
  • Prioritise and manage time in a fast-paced environment - it can get demanding!
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with internal and external staff, stakeholders, geographically dispersed teams
Expectations:
  • Work with People and Talent to build, enhance and nurture the culture of innovation, performance, empowerment and effectiveness - we want someone to get the best out of our client's people!
  • Monitor performance, seeking out opportunities for improvement
  • Seek to reengineer business processes
  • Work with global finance to reduce costs and manage budget for each stakeholder
  • Perform special projects (i.e. be adaptable and flexible - it's key) 
  • Organise team meetings and events for the operations team (when necessary)
  • Improve quality, morale, knowledge and teamwork through strong communication, leadership, coaching and development
Strategic initiatives:
  • Be the conduit to the Global Strategy and Insights team, assisting in development and regional implementation of initiatives and policies
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis for internal reporting needs
  • Prepare agendas, presentations for key internal meetings and business operations strategy
  • Track new global internal policies, announcements and venture updates
Risk management:
  • Oversee and implement strong Risk Management processes
  • Implement policies in collaboration with global IT to ensure the protection of highly sensitive client data
  • Ensure that the risk team/internal audit recommendations are being actioned
  • Manage all office insurances across the board
Financial management:
  • Monitor operating budget vs actuals and look for efficiencies - always!
  • Coordination and preparation of annual plan and re-estimates to ensure Ops KPIs and metrics are being met and tracked
  • Guidance and analysis for cost management
  • Monitor capital expenditure budgets
