About the Role

Make this role your own, as you coordinate the internal accounts payable, receivable and payroll functions in collaboration with the external Accountant. Though the primary focus of this role is the accounts function, you will also be required to assist with general office administration duties to support a team of seven others. This position exists within a stable, family oriented work environment, with an open and approachable management style.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accounts payable duties
  • Managing high value accounts receivable duties
  • Daily reconciliations, with complex transactions
  • Weekly payroll for a small team of full-time staff
  • Maintaining office, warehouse and kitchen supplies
  • Suggest ideas or opportunities for improvement where appropriate
  • Occasional travel coordination or other ad hoc administrative duties as required

Skills & Experience required

  • Demonstrated experience with accounts payables and receivables processes
  • Familiarity with payroll processes within a small office environment highly preferred
  • Experience working with Xero or comparable small practice accounting software desirable
  • Ideally you will have an interest in taking on more responsibility over time, as this role is likely to evolve
  • Strong time management skills and a positive, team-player attitude will go a long way

Benefits & Culture

You would be joining a close-knit, family-oriented team environment, with additional benefits that include:

  • Achieve work life balance with flexible start and finish times - you could potentially schedule your hours so that you can work a shorter day on Fridays
  • You would access to your own office
  • High staff retention and stable work environment
  • Work close to home in this suburban office location, with plenty of onsite parking
  • Opportunity for development, make this role your own and take on more responsibility over time

About the Company

Our client is a small, family owned company who have specialised in supplying and servicing dealerships and retail customers within the marine and industrial sectors for over 20 years. They work with a reputable international brand within the Australian market, and with steady year on year growth have an incredibly stable work environment with high staff retention rates.
