An exciting opportunity has been created for a pro-active person with a passion for analysing and numbers to take responsibility for the accuracy of our MRP system.

This is a newly created position and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to really make a difference within our company.

We are a well-established food manufacturing market leader and a successful third generation family owned Australian company based in Brisbane with over 75 years of experience supplying high quality FMCG products to a diverse range of channels throughout Australia.  Our philosophy is to provide quality natural and wholesome products and to care for our staff, customers and the environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role will provide you with lots of variety and will include everything from Forecasting, Lead times, EOQ & MOQ to ensure our targets are being met, while minimizing stock holdings and maximizing stock turns. 

You will have the opportunity to work closely with a number of teams, including:

  • Sales teams on forecasting and promotional planning;
  • Schedulers to improve efficiencies in production; and
  • Procurement Team to JIT inventory sourced locally and from the around the world. 

You will be an integral part of this team, all working together to deliver an exceptional result for our customers. 

The world we operate is constantly changing hence the need to constantly monitor and update our MRP parameters to ensure the most efficient use of inventory. 

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills;
  • Advanced Excel skills;
  • Experience in a prior procurement/inventory role;
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to work well under pressure; and
  • Pronto experience is desirable but not mandatory.
