Contaminated Land Auditor

What are we looking for?

We are currently looking for an experienced senior leader that will be responsible nationally for the continued growth and success of our team in Sydney. Your role will include:

  • Managing and leading (with the support of local Team Leaders), a national business, delivering services involving contaminated site audit;
  • Carrying out assigned activities including investigation, assessment, analysis and reporting in accordance with NSW and National Legislation;
  • Providing resolution of technical issues on projects and working in collaboration with other sectors/disciplines to ensure the integrity of projects;
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with discipline leaders and clients when required, to ensure effective communication on matters relevant to projects;
  • Building a profile with clients and within the industry to keep up-to-date with innovations and developments which will develop innovative and entrepreneurial thinking and behavior;
  • Managing and leading a team of professionals, including line management responsibility and financial responsibility for an independent profit & loss account; and
  • Keeping up to date with technical and legislative developments and seek opportunities to develop professional profile such as giving presentations to conferences/meetings/professional bodies and participation in technical committees for trade organisations and standards

Who are we looking for?

You will have:

  • Relevant engineering degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology or Chemistry with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation;
  • 15+ years’ demonstrated industry experience working on audited contaminated site investigations in New South Wales;
  • EPA accreditation as Contaminated Land Auditor in NSW; Accreditation with additional states a bonus;
  • Extensive experience in field investigations, particularly soil and groundwater sampling, groundwater well installation and drilling supervision, along with air quality monitoring (PM2.5, PM10, asbestos);
  • Experience in reporting and data management, including Preliminary Site Investigations, Sampling and Analysis Quality Plans, Detailed Site Investigations, Risk Assessments, Geographical Information Systems, Esdat and groundwater modelling programs;
  • Experience in project management, business development, client management are highly desirable;
  • Demonstrated technical, commercial and delivery acumen; and
  • Recognised leader in specialist discipline with well-established industry networks.
