Data Quality Specialist - AMP Capital Enterprise Data Office

The role:

The AMP Capital Enterprise Data Office (EDO) is a newly created organisational capability that has been established to help drive consistent and sustainable uplift in data maturity in support of business priorities leading to lower risk, increased efficiency & data driven insights.

Focus areas and responsibilities:

  • Support AMP Capital EDO in establishing foundational capabilities and best practices for data governance, data quality management and business reporting (BI).
  • Develop Data Quality framework. Directly engage with business to plan and deliver data quality measurement, monitoring and remediation.  
  • End-to-end data analysis, data issue definition, root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Support key business initiatives and projects by identifying and recommending appropriate data quality measures / controls.
  • Develop rollout plan and lead delivery of business reporting, working in collaboration with business and IT teams. Design the data distribution layer including appropriate reporting access controls.

Experience required:

  • Demonstrated data governance, data quality and business reporting delivery experience, along with a highly inquisitive approach to business problem solving
  • Experience in formulating Data Quality framework and delivering DQ initiatives using modern tools and techniques (e.g. machine learning and automation)
  • Knowledge of DQ tools, Microsoft SQL (SSIS/SSAS), data warehouses / marts / cubes and analytics/visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, Alteryx, Microstrategy
  • Experience with Data Catalog, metadata management and business glossary tools like Talend Metadata Manager, Alation, Collibra, or IBM Business Glossary
  • Financial services (preferably in public markets / investment management) and / or Real Estate / Infrastructure domain knowledge
  • Experience with Investment data management tools like Eagle, Charles River, FACTSET, Aladdin, BlackRock, Golden source, Curium, IHS Markit
