The Opportunity

Our Sydney office is looking for a Team Assistant to support our Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC) division. This team provides comprehensive and tailored solutions, from risk identification and control to risk assessment and risk finance, to help clients understand and value the risk in their business.

As a Team Assistant you will be the heartbeat of the team, taking on administrative functions to support consultants. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about the insurance industry and create a career for yourself within a leading global risk management organization.

 

You can expect to work on:

  • Assisting consultants with preparing and updating proposals
  • Managing the sales pipeline and the prospects database
  • Financial reporting, expenses, time-sheet management, debtors and month-end reconciliations
  • Coordination of internal and external contractors
  • Managing various aspects of staff training and onboarding

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong background in a similar administrative position. As the central point of the team, you will be supportive and happy to turn your hand to any task. It is a busy role, so you’ll need to be an organized and proactive individual.
 

We will be looking for:

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with a friendly personality
  • Capability around basic numerical work, invoicing and balancing of accounts
  • Experience managing CRMs/ sales pipelines/ databases would be advantageous
  • Someone with exceptional organisational abilities who can coordinate the activities of many people across a few teams
  • A person with initiative, plenty of common sense and a sense of humour to cope with the moments of stress
