Reaching over eighty stores nationally and with around 300 employees, the business has reached an impressive stage where they are now ready for a People & Culture Manager to take them to the further stages of success.

About You

You're an HR professional who is a business person first, but happens to specialise in HR. Whilst you're an engaging communicator and can build confidence in employees, you recognise the purpose of HR is to grow the overall business through building people capability.

Your knowledge and skill around ER and IR is robust; you've dealt with a variety of different situations from terminations to restructures, skilfully dealing with sensitive cases through balancing the needs of the employee and the business objectives.

You have the ability to put people at ease with a friendly chat whilst being able to switch to serious discussions with ease. Your team feel comfortable speaking to you thanks to your commitment to enjoying the journey by inspiring those around you to do the same.

  
About The Role

This is a rare opportunity to lead a passionate team in a national company.
You will add significant value through:
  • Leading, coaching and developing a growing People and Culture team
  • Building the capability of front-line leaders with a focus on uplifting performance and managing under-performance
  • Implementing the learning pathways to increase overall capability
  • Providing expert ER / IR guidance and representation at the Fair Work commission (if required)
  • Implementing a proactive People Experience strategy with objectives that drive and support future growth plans
  • Managing the entire employee experience life cycle from attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, remuneration and benefits, retention and separation
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on operational HR issues across the full people experience lifecycle whilst providing creative solutions
  • Being the voice of the company through implementation of a creative internal communication system
  • Producing, analysing and sharing data to identify trends to support recommendations on how to address people challenges and opportunities across the business
  • Overseeing workplace health, safety and well-being across the company
  • Driving salary bench-marking and review the process for all roles

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
  • Extensive experience managing ER/IR issues and providing sound advice with successful outcomes
