State Manager - VIC/TAS

Position & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the role of State Manager is to ensure safe operations and the delivery of sales to achieve business targets and deliver profitable growth for the region. 

The State Manager will be responsible for;

  • Developing, leading and supporting the team to achieve State Business plans and ensure profitability
  • Continued Safety focus and compliance with  Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality requirements throughout the State 
  • Driving productivity in order to maximise resources throughout the state, control costs and maintain a focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Supporting new product solutions by creating an environment which stimulates ideas and drives customer engagement and outcomes.
  • Strategically planning
  • Structure, build and enhance state based customer relationships
  • Undertake regular customer meetings with key stakeholders to ensure service standards are maintained.
  • Working as part of the ANZ Management Team and working cooperatively with other members of the team to deliver key organisational objectives.
  • Setting performance and personal plans for direct reports
  • Implement and maintain Personal Development plans for direct reports, 

 

Requirements

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills and experience;

  • Proven leadership skills in a State Management function, preferably in a logistics environment.
  • We are looking for an all-rounder, so hands-on experience or leadership of teams across sales, operations and customer service is preferred
  • Exposure to at least two of the following three sectors will be an advantage - Retail, FMCG / Manufacturing and Transport
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, possessing an ability to communicate at all levels across the business.  
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office
  • Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement approach
  • Highly developed communication skills 
  • Energetic and results focused
  • Ability to deal with strong personalities and engage in difficult conversations 
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation & influencing skills


The Offer

An excellent remuneration package is on offer to the successful applicant, which will be commensurate with experience, including a base salary of $140,000 - $150,000,  plus Superannuation, Car Allowance or FMCV and a 30% annual incentive bonus.
