About the Hospital
This public hospital in regional Victoria (west) supports more than 150 beds. The hospital sees approximately 20,000 patients each year, including 24 hr emergency medical response. Specialist services also include acute medical and surgical care, mental health, sub-acute, maternity plus many other community and specialty services.

Your Role
If your passion is caring for patients in critical care, the ICU department for this well-resourced regional hospital is keen to speak with you. Enjoy regular shifts, diagnose and oversee quality patient care, support junior medical team members, manage patient flow, liaise with specialists throughout the hospital and contribute to ongoing department quality improvement.

Remuneration is negotiable with respect to the Victorian award to align with your skills and responsibilities within the department.

Skills and Experience

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Consultant/VMO level experience in Intensive Care
  • Demonstrated extensive clinical knowledge in the scope of practice in Intensive Care Medicine
  • Experience leading a team to improve patient safety, patient flow and communication across multiple disciplines
  • Demonstrated commitment to best practice and improving clinical services through continuing medical education and understanding workplace accreditation and policies
