Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer | Shortys Liquor

To utilise our industry knowledge and experience we also launched wine.com.au a few years ago, a pure play online fine wine retail store offering a premium service that is unique in the scope of Australian wine, acting as the 'concierge" in your fine wine journey.
 
Shortys Liquor is currently seeking an Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer to work out of their awesome Ultimo Warehouse office.
 
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:
Processing accounts receivable transactions, including but not limited to:
  • Customer receipting and processing
  • Reconciliation of the daily bank statements
  • Follow up of outstanding customer invoices
  • Preparing and distributing customer statements on a monthly basis
  • Monitoring and actioning the AR email
  • Assisting with the administration of accounts with customers
 
Assisting with the processing of accounts payable transactions, including but not limited to:
  • Entry and review of supplier invoices
  • Review and preparation of payment of supplier invoices for weekly payment runs
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Monitoring and actioning the AP email
  • Other general administrative tasks as required
 
The perfect candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to pick up in house systems quickly
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to handle sensitive information and adhere to strict confidentiality policies
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced team environment, managing competing priorities with a calm and professional approach while maintaining attention to detail
  • A team oriented and customer focused attitude, coupled with an accountable and results driven attitude
  • Australian working rights
