Restaurant Associates delivers hospitality excellence to a range of premier locations with a small number of high profile niche clients, who share the same high-quality standards for food and service to enhance the overall experience. We are constantly looking to grow, develop and strengthen our customer offering.

The Position

We are looking for experienced super-star Casual F&B Attendants (Functions/Events & Retail) to join out team at the iconic Museums Victoria.  The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in functions and events, such as fine dining, cocktail events, weddings and galas, a willingness to learn and take direction from management, and have a passion for delivering high quality customer service. You will need to be flexible with your availability over a 7-day roster including early mornings and late nights as well flexible to be rostered to functions across Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and the Immigration Museum. 

The role

  • Delivering food and beverage service in a professional and at times discreet manner
  • Ensuring that rooms are set-up correctly and within a timely fashion
  • Showing initiative to take on other duties with shifting priorities and flexibility 
  • Cleaning and polishing of glassware, cutlery etc
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment  
  • Provide a warm, friendly and welcoming style of service to our amazing customers

The Person

  • Food and beverage experience – corporate/silver service waiter or hotel background desired
  • You’ll bring experience from working in functions or events environment (highly desirable)
  • You’ll be an excellent communicator with superior customer service skills and well spoken in English
  • You’ll have a strong work ethic – you’ll be willing to learn and be part of a fast paced dynamic team
  • You’ll have great energy and professional presentation
  • You will be confident in 3 plate carry
  • Current Victorian RSA
  • Valid Australian Residency or Work Rights
