Our flexible travel insurance products cover nomads from over 130 countries – and enable our travelers to give back through micro-donations when then buy with us. However, we want to be a part of the entire travel journey, which is why we offer travel storytelling scholarships, language phrasebooks, and tons of multi-media travel content to help inspire, educate and prepare our community for their adventures.  

About the role
A 12-month fixed term opportunity now exists for an Editorial Producer to join our content team.
This role will see you manage the editorial production of compelling original written, video and photographic travel content (including partner content) received from global contributors, influencers and storytelling mentors and judges for the Create [link removed] (Learn content) and Responsible Travel [link removed] (Make a Difference content) sections of WorldNomads.com.

You will curate, edit to style and grammar guidelines, checking sustainability and ethical travel standards and stances, and write content for any planned guides, conducting SEO research and liaising with the business where necessary regarding travel insurance /safety-related risks to produce an engaging guide for travellers to inspire global (responsible) travel.

Acting as a Sub-editor and keeper of facts, you will manage accuracy of grammar and fact checking, along with ensuring content achieves key content programs and core goals as per set targets via continuous optimisation.

Working closely with the WN legal team around content commissioning and licensing, you will develop a framework to commission travel serves as both a footprint to improve search engine ranking as well as providing high value content assets that can be distributed across multiple platforms, both through owned channels (social, web email) as well as external opportunities for distribution.

About You
You are a creative writer with demonstrated skills and experience in commissioning and editing content in a broadcast, newsroom, PR or online environment. Your innate understanding and passion for travel, including an interest in or exposure to responsible and ethical travel, will see you well placed for success in this role.

You have exceptional verbal and written communications skills with a meticulous attention to detail, in addition to a superb grasp of the English language and a critical understanding of the importance and nuance of the word.
