A little about the role

DPV Health GP Superclinic Broadmeadows seeks a skilled GP for our dedicated Family Planning Services.

The Family Planning Service has expanded quickly over 2 years, and is now a significant provider of unplanned pregnancy care in Melbourne’s northern metropolitan zone, population 1 million plus.

You will join our experienced GP, who has DRANZCOG Advanced.  When you are appointed to this important role in women’s health care, there are opportunities for you to expand your skills and gain extra qualifications.  This position is currently part time one day per week, but expected to increase.

Your will be offered a high percentage of your gross billings.

Responsibilities

  • Family Planning, contraception and sexual health training and experience
  • Experience (or willingness to upskill) in assessment and management of unplanned pregnancy.

Women self-refer, we perform ultrasound (a quality GE unit) at the clinic, and offer both Medication abortion and referral elsewhere for Surgical abortion

  • Registration to prescribe MS-2 Step, or you will agree to train and register as soon as possible
  • Skill in contraceptive implant and IUD insertion and removal
  • Current Vocational Registration (FRACGP or FACRRM) and AHPRA GP Specialist Registration

Work Place

  • GPs will be supported by skilled Nurses, a Medical Director, Practice Manager and Full Administrative Staff
  • We are transitioning to Best Practice Clinical Software
  • There is a Pathology collection and general Ultrasound on Site
  • We have a friendly and supportive culture, in our modern purpose-built clinic
