Hunter Water and Lake Macquarie City Council are excited to be launching a partnership graduate program. The program offers the opportunity to be employed in a fixed term 2 year graduate position that includes a 12 month work placement at both Hunter Water and Lake Macquarie City Council.

There are two graduate positions on offer in this program, one position is employed with Hunter Water and one position is employed with Lake Macquarie City Council. Applicants must nominate in their application their preference for which employer they are seeking employment with.  
 
Hunter Water - Graduate Digital Communications
The Graduate Digital Communications will evolve over time and involve being given the opportunity to learn several functions in order to gain broad experience within the business.  The Graduate Digital Communications will support the Public Affairs and Customer Strategy and Retail teams to articulate the organisation's message to protect and enhance Hunter Water's brand and reputation. This role takes a proactive approach to protecting and promoting Hunter Water's reputation through effective, efficient and accurate communication.  This role will support Hunter Water's social media and online presence, as well as being a conduit for internal communications within the business.

    Lake Macquarie City Council - Graduate Communications and Engagement Officer

    The Graduate Communications and Engagement Officer will provide valuable input with internal and external Council communications, ensuring they are delivered effectively and credibly, and tailoring messaging to an appropriate audience.  The Officer will work as part of a dynamic and versatile Communications team to develop and manage communications plans for Council events, projects and initiatives, liaising with relevant stakeholders.  The Officer will also assist with community engagement activities where appropriate.
