OPERATIONS AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER (0.8)

Company Overview 

My Therapy House® is a South Australian owned and run multi-disciplinary practice, which specialises in working with children and adolescents who live with social-emotional and communication challenges. The My Therapy House® team works together with families to understand children and support their development, through providing Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Development Through Play services. Their programs are individually tailored to suit the child’s and family’s profile and aspirations.  

Role Overview 

Reporting to the Director, the Operations and Administrations Officer will work as an integral part of a small team to deliver a range of administrative, operations and marketing related tasks. These activities will contribute to the maintenance and increase in client numbers and support services for the My Therapy House® staff to ensure the efficient running of the business. This position will make the front desk and waiting area their own by interacting with clients to answer queries, answering and transferring inbound phone calls, scheduling appointments and coordinating the appropriate documentation for each client. The Operations and Administration Officer will also work closely with the team of therapists to provide operational support through creating and updating client records, managing the team’s schedules and preparing report templates and documentation.  

Other key requirements of this role include:  

  • Operating reception in a professional manner;  
  • Managing My Therapy House’s social and digital media accounts;  
  • Complying with NDIS, Medicare and Private Health Insurance regulations;  
  • Liaising with NDIS and other service providers;  
  • Tracking client NDIS plans and budgets;  
  • Ensuring invoices are prepared and reconciling payments within set timeframes.  

Skills, Knowledge and Experience  

The successful candidate will be a compassionate individual who takes pride in being proactive in their work. They will be a team player who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to liaise efficiently with staff members, clients and their families. They will be a highly organised individual in a busy office environment, who works autonomously in planning ahead to coordinate themselves and others. The successful candidate will possess excellent computer skills to work across a range of software such as Xero, Zoho and Microsoft Office. 

Possessing a genuine passion and skills for working with children, adolescents and young adults with special needs as well as their families is highly desirable. 

The successful candidate will currently possess or be willing to obtain:  

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate  
  • Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training  
  • Police Check/DCSI Screening
