Therapeutic Residential Youth Worker

We are currently recruiting for experienced full-time youth workers to work a fantastic NFP organization based in western Sydney. You will be working and with young people and supporting them with accommodation, education and daily living skills.

Shift work includes morning, afternoon, evening, weekend and sleepover shifts. You must be able to work on a rotating full-time roster.

You will be:

  • Assisting clients with daily living skills

  • Carrying out behavioural intervention support plans and maintaining consistency with client schedules.

  • Preparing meals and carrying out client care plans

  • Coping empathically with challenging behaviors

  • Giving emotional support to clients / demonstrating positive role modeling for clients

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience within the area of residential OOHC or youth homelessness

  • Exepreince working within the ITC framework
  • Prior experience working with young people from 12 - 19

  • Minimum Diploma in Community Services/Youth Work ( or similar)

  • Valid WWCC

  • Valid Police Check (Within the past 12 months)

  • Ability to work therapeutically with complex clients

  • Passion for working with young people

  • Valid Drivers Licence
