Casual youth worker opportunity in Newcastle! 

Do you have a passion for youth support? If you want to make some extra cash while giving back to the community and making a difference, this is the job for you! 

Health Care Australia is inviting experienced youth workers in Newcastle and surrounding suburbs to assist clients in the community.

This role will suit someone who is motivated and flexible with great attitude and awareness of your duty of care! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care in youth support homes, developing the clients’ daily living skills, promoting independence and helping with personal goals, providing community access and other duties. 

Essential Criteria:
  • Minimum 12 months' experience in youth work with clients under the age of 18
  • Diploma of Youth Work or related diploma level qualification
  • Must be available to work flexibly between AM, PM and Night shifts
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and own transport to travel between sites
  • Must have a valid First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Current Police & Working With Children Check Certificate
  • Part-Training, Conflict Training and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certificates preferred
