Reintegration Case Worker

Vinnies is seeking Reintegration Case Worker to provide wraparound support services for males post-release from prison. A key outcome of the post-release supported accommodation service is to deliver service users through to secure longer-term suitable accommodation and maximise their capacity to be independent, stable and connected to appropriate social and community supports.In this role, you will be required to enter Correctional Facilitates to facilitate release planning. Including being required to work closely with Probation and Parole personnel. 

The position is part time, 20 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until June 2022. The Reintegration Program is a new initiative which you can be a part of!

 

To be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Experience providing case management
  • Understanding of reintegration and correctional services environment is highly advantageous
  • Tertiary level qualifications and/or qualifications demonstrated experience in community development, social work or a related field
  • An understanding of property and tenancy management including issues surrounding homelessness and reintegration into Society
  • Strong background in Workplace Health and safety practices and understanding of risk management framework
  • Ability to build effective relationships with and influence stakeholders
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
