About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an ICT PAS & Clinical System Consultant to join our team in ensuring systems across Calvary’s Public and Private Hospitals, Aged Care and Community Services are supported.

In this role, you will enjoy working within a supportive team environment and work to ensure that the Patient Administration and Clinical Systems meet the needs of Calvary.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Customer service and support for system users in healthcare
  • Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new ICT applications
  • Deliver upgrades/enhancements to existing ICT applications
  • Adhere to Calvary National Information Technology Policies and Procedures
  • Coordinate and deliver training
  • Deliver and customise training tools and documentation for ICT applications
  • System testing activities including system testing, developing test scripts, and unit testing; assisting user acceptance testing
  • Analysis of healthcare systems and their ability to meet business requirement, their effectiveness and efficiency
  • Documentation and analysis of business requirement
  • Incident/issue/problem management
  • Develop strategies for improving or leveraging the systems
  • Provide after-hours support 

What you bring

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven track record of implementing applications in healthcare to support business objectives
  • Proven ability to support PAS and/or Clinical applications
  • Experience in the Private or Public Health Care sector
  • Sound knowledge of hospital/healthcare business processes and ehealth
  • Proven analytical, planning and project management skills
  • Comfortable with a dynamic, fast paced work environment
  • Strong written and oral communications skills with customer service focus
  • Proven ability to transfer skills to team members and end users as required in a timely and effective manner
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to problem-solve (independently and collaboratively)
  • A strong commitment to the philosophy and mission of Calvary
  • Ability to provide on call support and travel as needed
  • Sound understanding of health informatics concepts
