Service Delivery Manager

Who is Standards Australia?

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Service Delivery Manager to work in collaboration with the Program Delivery and System Delivery teams to enable our business projects and IT operations.

The successful candidate will have people management experience, and will drive service delivery improvement across our internal and external services and providers.  

Key responsibilities

Service delivery:
  • Understand, report on and manage utilisation in a service management function to meet business demand and service level agreements
  • Work with the product owners, program delivery and system delivery managers to plan, execute and deliver projects
  • Establish accurate estimates for timelines and ensure that requests and projects meet deadlines
  • Coordinate internal and external resources for the flawless execution of incidents, changes, releases and projects
  • Be the point of contact for all business stakeholders, suppliers and vendors
  • Communicate updates to senior stakeholders for critical incidents
  • Support, maintain and administer the ITSM solution within the organisation
  • Implement and support an organisation wide Disaster Recovery Practice
  • Manage IT Security, asses risk and implement appropriate controls
  • Ensure compliance and assist with various regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
People management:
  • Direct management of the team, by facilitating formal employee performance reviews and providing feedback
  • Lead and manage the service delivery team to achieve their best by creating a high-performance business enabling culture
  • Utilise best practice recruitment processes to secure highest quality talent 
  • Manage team morale
What are we looking for?

We are looking for a results orientated individual with strong people management experience and excellent communication skills. 

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant university degree, and will have experience in the below areas:
  • IT Operational and service delivery management
  • Managing and developing high performing teams
  • ITIL and project management 
  • Cloud Service providers, managed services and the use of service management tools
  • IT asset management, service level agreements and reporting
  • Attracting, growing and maintaining great teams
