Marketing Executive - Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour

Sydney CBD

About us

Opening in March 2020 and located on the corner of Sussex and Bathurst Streets, the newly built Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour is 152 modern guest rooms and suites vertically suspended in a prime position. Just a 5-minute stroll to the CBD’s commercial and transport hub, the lively Darling Harbour precinct and the International Convention Centre. Access is easy and fast from Town Hall Train Station — only a short 3-minute walk from the hotel.

Guests will unwind in design-led, modern and spacious rooms with the latest technology at their fingertips. With 3 restaurants and bars throughout the hotel, breakfast, lunch, after-work drinks and dinner are all taken care of. Our sleek contemporary spaces are perfect for meetings, private dinners, cocktail receptions or special events, allowing guests to transition effortlessly from 9-to-5, to 5-to-9. And then there’s the spectacular views from our roof-top where guests can make a splash in our Instagram-worthy floating infinity pool.

Your day to day

Supporting the Director of Sales and Marketing, as Marketing Executive you’ll be the lead marketing and social guru for Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour, driving reach and awareness both pre and post opening for our exciting new hotel.

What does that involve? Developing, implementing and optimising our marketing efforts – executing the hotel’s marketing plan and campaigns, managing our social and digital platforms, driving traffic through direct and non-direct channels, assisting in managing key partnerships and social media communities, analysing marketing efforts and managing content distribution across all communication channels – to ensure the hotel tells a powerful brand story that genuinely connects with guests in line with the broader Crowne Plaza brand messages.

What we need from you

  • Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience in Marketing, hospitality experience preferred but not essential
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Hotel Management, Tourism, Marketing or other relevant field
  • Innovative mindset and up-to-date with technology trends. Comfortable sharing your creativity, taking ideas from blue sky into action
  • Experience and knowledge of marketing principles and techniques, creating and curating content for websites and social media
  • Excellent computer skills (e.g. Word; Excel; PowerPoint, Outlook, Google search, database search)
  • Proactive approach to client management, problem solving, organisation and networking
  • Strong project management, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and meet deadlines

What we offer

We’ll reward all your hard work with a great salary and benefits – including great room discounts and superb training.
