Desktop Support Officer

An opportunity exists for an established, enthusiastic and customer service focused individual to join our Information Communications and Technology team.

The role is responsible for the delivery of first level telephone and on-site support to all users of corporate IT systems as well as the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of desktop hardware. Management of Council’s mobile phone fleet incorporating IOS, Android and MS Windows mobiles.

The successful candidate must have significant experience with Microsoft Windows 10 including software and hardware configurations and the proven ability to troubleshoot problems in this environment. Experience in Microsoft Office 2016 configuration and troubleshooting skills is essential. Experience in user account creation across Active Directory, Exchange, a VoIP solution and basic ITIL knowledge would be a notable advantage.

The role requires a commitment to delivering an excellent standard of customer service, the ability to manage your time and to work collaboratively as part of a team. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a helpdesk environment is essential.

You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, certified copies of your qualifications, and a current Driver Licence. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration and undertake a National Police Record Check.
