Consumer Processing's Third Party Mortgage Operations department is looking for Credit Officers

  • Contract / Casual / Permanent
  • Full time / Part time

The Credit Officer makes appropriate credit decisions on complex transactions involving residential loans with high dollar exposure or requiring policy rule override and will hold a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) $3M or greater.

 

The Credit Officer's key responsibilities are to accurately assess residential home loan applications in line with bank policy, consider policy exception requests and act as a contact point for loan scenarios for our 3rd Party Partners. You will be required to provide coaching support to lower DLA Holders or new Assessment staff to TPMO. Ultimate responsibility is to ensure all loans are assessed and approved in line with NCCP, LTO, Corporations Law rules and other relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.

 

As a Credit Officer you will have a lending background with proven experience in understanding and interpreting lending policy, hold or have held a DLA within the last 12-24 months, understand all requirements relating to NCCP, LTO, Corporations Law rules and regulations, with a particular focus on responsible lending. You will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, you will need to manage difficult conversations and be able to clearly articulate information. Excellent time management skills are required, and you must have the ability to prioritise and work within tight time frames.
