Family Services Worker

Our Family Service Workers support families in becoming empowered to deal with complex and challenging issues, whilst building positive connections within the community.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a full time Family Services Worker to join the Family Health & Wellbeing Services team. As a Family Services Worker, you will deliver personalised and strength based services to families experiencing adversity, and assist them in achieving personal goals and positive outcomes. You will join a friendly team of professionals who are tremendously dedicated and passionate about what they do.  

Based at Toomah Community Centre in the heart of Pakenham, you will work within a contemporary style building that offers modern facilities and on-site parking.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Tertiary qualified in Social Work, Social Welfare or similar level qualifications;
  • The ability to build links with external networks and key service providers;
  • Specialist knowledge in the areas of family strengthening & empowerment
  • Working with children, young people and families. Experience in children’s early years would also be an advantage
  • Strong communication and administration skills
