Administration Officer (IT and Purchasing)

We are seeking a highly motivated, tech-savvy candidate who is looking for an opportunity to work in the Information Technology industry as an Administration Officer.

Working with our professional Information Services team, the successful candidate will gain valuable hand’s on experience in a fast-paced environment. The Administration Officer will provide high quality customer service to our internal clients.

Day to day duties for this role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Software License Purchasing/Inventory/Auditing
  • Perform purchasing tasks and inventory management.
  • Use of core office software, systems, processes and procedures
  • Deal with sensitive and confidential information appropriately and in a timely manner

The Person

Strong emphasis will be placed on the applicant’s ability to demonstrate our organisational values of Courage, Diligence, Compassion, Wisdom and Friendliness, as well as their ability to commit to and apply these values in the workplace.

Key Selection Criteria for this position includes:

  • Certificate III or higher in business administration (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Volume Licenses (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail in an IT related position
  • Demonstrated high level computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other supporting systems such as purchasing and records management systems.
  • Basic understanding of computer components and the potential differences between brands
  • Demonstrated good time management skills, initiative and attention to detail
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to successfully communicate and develop rapport with a variety of customers
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised, and or in a team environment to achieve work set to a high standard

It is a mandatory condition of employment for this role that you are vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against the following vaccine preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis.
