The Organisation

Gowrie Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1939 committed to our purpose to champion good early childhood education and care.

In preparation for an exciting time of growth we are now recruiting for a number of Early Childhood Educator Traineeships across all of our locations.

Gowrie Victoria currently operate four early learning centres in Carlton North, Docklands, Yarraville and Broadmeadows. 

We are excited to be opening our newest service, Gowrie Victoria Carlton, in January 2020, co-located with Carlton Primary School.

Skills and Experience

  • No prior Early Childhood experience is required, a great organisational fit is most important to us! 
  • Be clear about why you want to work with young children
  • Willing to do 'the work' of the traineeship - with hands-on learning
  • Ready to commit to work and study for the period of the traineeship (12 to 18 months)
  • Be a team player - reliable and trustworthy
  • To be eligible for the traineeship you must have no existing Diploma level qualification.
