Cleaning Operations Support

About us

Catering Industries Pty Ltd is a leading provider of contracted hospitality services (catering, cleaning and laundry) to Australia's health and aged care, education, government, corporate and resources sector.  We currently employ over 1100 personnel across various operations in our active market.
 

Role summary:

We are seeking a Cleaning Operations Support team member to support the Area Managers and Area Supervisors in the day to day activities in Cleaning and Laundry. 
This position will be Full time, Monday to Friday.
The candidate must have their own reliable transport and be willing to travel between the company sites around Sydney. *A car allowance for travelling between facilities will be on offer to the successful candidate.
 

Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ year's experience in a similar role;
  • Ability to communicate with all staff, as well as report back to the Area Managers and Area Supervisors on a daily basis. (Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English is essential);
  • Experience in cleaning commercial/ aged care environments is desirable;
  • Knowledge of Work, Health & Safety and Infection Control;
  • A cleaning background with extensive knowledge of chemicals, steam cleaning, auto scrubbing, window cleaning and pressure washing will be advantageous.
     

Duties Include: 

  • Cleaning around the site according to set procedures;
  • Maintains records of completion of cleaning schedule duties;
  • Completing records and log books;
  • Sweeping, vacuuming. mopping and participate in the infection control program;
  • Safe storage and use of cleaning agents including correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities for each task;
  • Contributes to a safe environment when undertaking duties;
  • Waste management and recycling.
