Veolia Australia and New Zealand has an exciting entry-level opportunity for a Junior Sourcing Officer to join our team. You will be able to gain experience and develop your skillset  as you support our National Office Procurement team with the facilitation of sustainable and commercial supply strategies around the procurement of capital products, goods and services to Veolia’s national operations. 

You’re driven, eager to learn and have a solution-oriented mindset. You pride yourself on your attention to detail and have a methodical approach to your work, while also not being afraid to get creative or think outside of the box.

As you work under the guidance of the Strategic Sourcing Manager you will gain experience across a wide range of sourcing activities, support with upcoming projects and also assist the team in reducing the overall cost of doing business, increasing governance measures and helping to promote Veolia as a Customer of Choice. 

  
What you’ll need to be successful: 

  • 2+ years in a commercial / customer service environment;
  • Tertiary education (business, engineering, accounting, logistics);
  • Logical with a strong desire for process guidelines and structure;
  • High level of resilience;
  • Strong sense of urgency and comfortable in promoting change;
  • Passion / interest in business + commercial concepts including contracting and contract law;
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal; and
  • Strong desire to learn and do what it takes to achieve outcomes.
