Front End Developer

Fintech Services (Australia) Pty Ltd provides expertise to operating entities including Fair Go Finance, among others, to support and drive its vision “to be a market leader in online credit solutions, through innovation, technology and services to add value to the lives of its customers” 

About the Role 

Reporting to the Program Technical Manager, the role works across the business and IT teams to ensure the quality and timeliness of software delivery and a stable and reliable software environment. The role is responsible for primarily supporting and developing the front end systems and processes. 

The right person will be a subject matter expert for various features and/or modules across the organization’s software portfolio and will be required to keep up to date with the latest technologies that are relevant to Fair Go Finance and the other operating entities. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop and deliver cloud based fintech solutions; 

  • Develop and maintain front-end assets across all platforms, browsers including smartphones and tablets; 

  • Assist with digital marketing assets such as landing pages and newsletters;  

  • Ensure UX consistency across the brand and analyse, track and enhance UI and user behaviour; 

  • Work to minimise and support fixing bugs on the existing systems; 

  • Contribute to standards and best practice development processes, coding, and peer reviews; 

  • Optimize existing systems to improve performance and scalability through service/application tuning and code refactoring;  

  • Be a team player who works to support team targets and project goals. 

Candidate Requirements  

Essential 

  • Demonstrated ability to implement IT projects in an Agile environment; 

  • Demonstrated ability to provide innovative thinking to achieve strategic and corporate outcomes relating to innovative use of technology; 

  • Ability to build effective relationships and manage productive working relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external; 

  • Degree qualification, graduate degree or proven significant experience;    

  • Experience (3+ years) in a .Net/Core (C# & some 3rd party VB.Net), ASP.Net Web API, SQL Server environment; 

  • Experience in SPA (React Redux), TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and an understanding of design patterns. 

Desirable 

  • Experience in GitHub / Azure / AppVeyor / Nuget / Stackify, Vue.js / Node.js / Aurelia.js 

  • Finance industry experience.
