Fundraising and Marketing Assistant, Part time 15 hpw - Parramatta

Parramatta Mission offers community-managed programs and services which are largely funded by the Commonwealth and NSW governments. We work to assist people living with mental illness; family members or carers of people with mental illness; young people; and those living in crisis. We also provide food, accommodation and support services to assist the most vulnerable in our community. This includes crisis and transitional accommodation, meals and emergency food assistance.

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to assist the fundraising and marketing team across all elements of admin, database, community fundraising and communication support. This role is pivotal in ensuring that donors and other key stakeholders receive timely communication through the various channels. 

Duties will include general administration work, data entry and basic database maintenance, internal and external communications.

This role is responsible for supporting community fundraising and in-kind donations from individuals and community groups including schools and congregations as well as some executive assistance to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing.


Desired Skills & Experience

Experience in a similar role, handling multiple varied tasks, primarily relating to fundraising, databases and or administration.

  • Highly organised
  • Good team player
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Database (data entry and basic maintenance)
  • Administration
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • MS Office

Experience within a fundraising, marketing, customer service or sales environment would be seen very favourably. As well as experience in-

  • Adobe Suite
  • Social Media
