About our Client
Our client is a global organisation that was established in 1834!! They specialize in pumping solutions, services for rotating equipment and separation, mixing and application technology. Their customers benefit from a network of over 180 production and service sites around the world and they pride themselves on providing high quality products and service.  They are constantly investing in state-of-the-art machine tools, packaging and test facilities.
This area of the business which provides any type of tower works – revamps, retrofits, or corrosion protection.  They provide a streamlined solution to ensure minimal downtime, taking a systematic, practical approach.

 
About the Role
The position of Area Sales Manager is crucial to the business with the main purpose of this role to build and maintain exceptional relationships within your territory.  You will also take pride in increasing customer awareness and loyalty across all services.
On a daily basis your role will involve:
  • Growing and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, maximising future business activities.
  • Develop Commercial proposals, negotiating tenders and contracts.
  • Lead the sales effort for oil and gas, petrochemical and other industrial markets in QLD, NSW and VIC.
  • Grow current network and ensure maximum market penetration.
 

About You
  • Technical background in mechanical and welding services
  • Exceptional negotiation and sales, ideally from an industrial or chemical cleaning environment.
  • Sales/Marketing or Business qualification.
  • Strong communication (both oral and written).
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Love working and participating in a team environment.
  • Happy to be travelling 50% of your working time.
  • Manual Drivers Licence.
