QAR has partnered with Bulla Dairy Foods in their search for a new OE Facilitator for their frozen manufacturing site in Colac. The key purpose of this role is to drive operational performance improvement through Bulla, with a focus on Operations and Supply Chain.

QAR have previously placed multiple OE Facilitators in the business, one of which has recently been promoted internally - hence the new role being advertised.  All  candidates are still within Bulla and loving the challenges.

Reporting into the Operational Excellence Manager, you will have an emphasis on; the creation of systems and processes that promote personal accountability and results, improving operational efficiency, removing waste and simplifying operations. Bulla currently have a major project underway focussing on production system best practise, this is a first for the business and a major step towards excellence.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support the development and framework, tools, processes, techniques and systems used within Operational Excellence.
  • Provide regular training across Operations and Supply Chain, assisting to guide and motivate staff.
  • Identify where opportunities exist and support a series of cost out initiatives.
  • Be a focal point for systems related developments within the business on behalf of OE, including i-leader, Obeya and Transformation initiative tracker, Sharepoint (Scoop) and related IT systems.
  • Work with the Operational Capability lead to manage the development of the Operations training systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet all relevant compliance and Bulla requirements.

This role has a key focus on driving the current systems, not reinventing the wheel.  You will need to ensure you have strong influencing skills to bring the wider teams along on the journey, and act as a change agent for the wider OE team.

You will possess a high level of stakeholder engagement, the ability to work cross functionally, strong logical and lateral thinking, with a capacity for innovation.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

  • A proven background in driving projects and change, not just working as part of a CI team.
  • Experience working in a commercial environment, or experience in a lean driven environment.
  • Bachelor Degree; Commerce, Finance, Business Management or Similar. (preferred)
  • Demonstrated technical skills (high level of competency in computer-based information tools.
  • Strong motivational skills with the capacity to positively influence people, initiate and deliver change independently or through teamwork.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and train operational staff, and provide visible leadership.
  • Capability to effectively relate and communicate to people at all levels of the business.

Living in Regional Victoria, you will be close to beautiful national parks, beaches, amazing communities and only a 2.0-hour drive from Melbourne CBD - the best of both worlds.  The team in Colac are awesome, very supportive and have heaps of fun outside of work.  If you choose to live locally, cost of living is also incredibly appealing!

Please note: This role will be based in Colac for a one year period then potential to be based from their Derrimut site in Melbourne.
