Our client is a trusted leader in the National Event Hire industry who supply a stylish range of quality hire furniture, accessories, styling and exceptional customer service to their trusted clients
A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join the team in Sydney  assisting the Operations Manager manage the facility whilst playing a vital role in helping this company achieve its mission, vision and strategic objectives
You will be driving the culture, running the operations of the business, improving systems, implementing strategy and ensuring that processes are managed effectively

The main responsibilities of the role will include:
 
  • Being the key driver to implement positive change, drive culture, develop competence, mentor   and create a strong harmonious environment of multi skilled flexible employees
  • Develop strong relationships with Clients and ensuring customer service actions are of the highest quality and standard
  • Assisting the team manage all aspects of the delivery schedule including installs , collections, costs and service capability
  • Developing analytical strategic plans for cost saving, scheduling efficiencies and business growth opportunities in terms of value added services , business goals and profitability
  • Having a solid understanding of the Company EBA and learn how to interpret the individual clauses to find efficiencies/ cost savings when scheduling daily and weekly transport movements
  • Assist with management of all HR functions including inductions, on boarding  employees and ensuring  all staff are working to their maximum capacity
  • Ability to manage and implement KPI’s that deliver process improvements, tracking and reporting efficiencies
  • Having the capability to assist the sales team, analyse costings and quotations, develop and transition business trading opportunities with existing clients and provide advanced customer service on every occasion
  • Ensure all company plant and equipment are serviced regularly and in good working order
The successful candidate must possess:
 
  • Previous experience in the Event Hire industry (Highly Desirable)
  • Proven experience in scheduling in a transport / logistics / multi drop environment
  • Be an ambitious industry professional, achievement driven, show strong leadership & influencing skills (both written & verbal) and able to work under pressure in a busy work
  • Possess the ability to step into the Operations Manager role to cover leave or absences
  • Advanced administration skills with the demonstrated ability to implement OHS policy and accreditations ensuring all staff are fully inducted to client specific sites
  • Sound commercial acumen combined with the commitment to ethical standards, policy & procedures
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite | Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet agreed deadlines
  • Enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to deliver results in a timely manner
  • A current drivers licence (forklift or truck licence Highly Desirable)

This role would be suitable for an experienced professional with hands on experience who has previously improved systems and procedures in a similar environment.
