Corporate Accountant

Exciting opportunity for an exceptional Corporate Accountant in Melbourne's East.

Client Details

My client is a growing organisation who are a clear leader in their niche market in IT distribution. Their success is largely accredited to the top-down passion of all stakeholders within the organisation; not only for the company itself but for the products and market within which they operate. My client is seeking a dedicated individual with a shared passion for hard work and the IT industry, to be the Corporate Accountant and be an important cog in the future success of the organisation.

Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's financial statements and reporting processes are compliant with accounting standards, internal financial policies, procedures and tax laws as well as providing expert financial advice to aid in key decision making.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Drive the complete month-end process
  • Manage end to end accounts receivable and accounts payable duties
  • Assist with the development of internal financial policies, accounting systems and processes.
  • Provide sound financial advice to senior stakeholders and identify areas of improvement
  • Prepare monthly reports including profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting and year-end financial reporting and compliance obligations.
  • Reconciling of all bank, balance sheet, general ledger, as well as all inter-company transactions,
  • Establish constant process improvement strategies for the accounting team and wider business.
  • Statutory compliance including the preparation and lodgement of BAS, PAYG and FBT
  • End-to-end payroll including Payroll Tax
  • Ad hoc analysis and tasks

Profile

As the successful candidate you will be CA/CPA qualified, with an exceptional academic transcript and proven prowess in streamlining processes and compliance. You will be a confident individual with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and have strong experience in SME's, and organisations going through change. Experience in system implementation will be beneficial.
