General Manager, Business Development

Who you'll be working with:

What you’ll be doing:
  • Identify new business opportunities within the business priority markets of Telecommunications, Insurance, Retail and Utilities
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients according to account management plan
  • Selling business products and value proposition for new and emerging sectors
  • Ensuring appropriate income and profit is generated aligning the target margins of the business
  • Writing business proposals and managing through internal investment committee approval gateways
  • Working strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes in
  • Negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing solutions mapping business strengths and capability to the customer needs
  • Assessing and identifying business opportunities and viable income streams against the prioritised target areas for Fy20/21/22
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally
  • Drive the submission of tenders including technical writing and coordination of bid process for new business opportunities
What we're looking for:
  • Established business development skills and the ability to prepare multiple proposals simultaneously
  • A consultative approach to business development
  • Proven track record in identifying new business opportunities
  • Prior experience acting as the lead on client engagement
  • Aptitude for understanding client needs coupled with excellent negotiation skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver communications both internally and externally
  • Exceptional stakeholder management
  • Ability to build strong and sustainable business relationships
  • Experience in the telecommunications, insurance, retail and/or utilities sectors will be highly regarded
  • A motivated, driven and professional business development manager looking to take the next step
