About the role:

The Assistant Financial Accountant ensures the integrity of the financial accounts for the ANZ business through being a technical expert in relation to accounting issues and internal control. You will be a proactive team player who likes to take ownership of their work to deliver results that support the business.

You will assist in a range of duties for the busy month & year end period, providing timely, fit for purpose reports for both internal and external stakeholders. You will also provide support to Treasury and Taxation Departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and preparation of timely, accurate and complete annual financial reports for Australian and New Zealand statutory and legal requirements, as well as for Unilever Global Financial Group and other regulatory authorities such as ASIC and ABS.
  • Liaise with Financial Shared Services team for the completion of quarterly Financial Reporting Package in line with Unilever Accounting policies
  • Delivery of accurate and timely financial and statutory reporting
  • Delivery of change initiatives, particular accounting for complex financial transactions and simplification projects
  • Ensuring controls are in place to ensure balance sheet and P&Ls are accurate reported and providing accounting guidance to the business

Who you are:

  • Post graduate experience in a finance function
  • Knowledge of SAP financial module
  • CA qualified (preferable)
  • Working knowledge of IFRS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
