Sponsorship & Events Coordinator

As an independent industry funded organisation, our client works in partnership to build sustainable long-term solutions which are strategic, innovative and forward thinking.  They connect industry by providing research and identifying relevant training whilst advocating for ongoing core programs aimed at attracting and developing workers for the future.
  
The role of Sponsorship & Events Coordinator is an integral part of the team.  Your role provides expertise in Sponsorship & Events, whilst working collaboratively with others to execute the broader marketing, communications and PR initiatives.  On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for:
  • Acting as the primary contact point for sponsorship and events queries and activities
  • Management of the sponsorship database
  • External engagement with industry, government, sponsor partners, service providers and suppliers
  • Maintaining a consistent approach and ensuring brand advocacy
  • Working with internal stakeholders to meet sponsorship requirements
  • Proactively measuring outcomes to event and sponsorship opportunities reporting on benefits and value add activities
  • End to end event management
  • Tracking of event metrics including feedback, evaluation and reporting
  • Marketing administration providing support to the broader team
  • Contributing to marketing projects
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience gained in a Sponsorship and Events role, coming from a professional services or corporate environment.  You will have been responsible for the operationalisation of sponsorship and events working closely and in support of a marketing function/team.  You will bring tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or aligned.   In addition, you will be required to demonstrate:
  • An adaptable approach to stakeholder engagement
  • Skills in managing sponsorship databases or other CRM tools
  • An ability to manage events end to end from planning through to execution
  • Commercial skills to determine benefits gained from sponsorship and event opportunities
  • High levels of initiative, with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork
  • MS Office Suite skills
Your leader is dynamic and focused on fostering an inclusive and professional team environment.  You will have the scope to own your role and operate autonomously to deliver outcomes.  You will be hands on in delivery and be the conduit for internal and external stakeholders, taking responsibility for events and sponsorship opportunities.
