Group Financial Controller - 12 month FTC

ABOUT THE ROLE
  
Due to a maternity leave we have a great opportunity for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join this ASX powerhouse for a 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will manage and develop a team of senior accounting professionals and the transactions services team, with a focus on increasing the level of value-add reporting provided by the group. You will also be charged with improving existing processes while up-skilling the Finance and Accounting team.
  
DUTIES
  • Prepare technical accounting papers with respect to judgmental items for the external auditors and for consideration of the Audit and Risk Committee.
  • Support the preparation of externally released documents, including the annual report, trading and operational updates, and other media releases.
  • Manage the preparation of half-year and year-end results.
  • Coordinate the monthly company performance report for senior management and the board.
  • Lead finance streams of projects with internal stakeholders such as group tax, group legal and treasury.
  • Manage the external audit process for the Group.
  • Contributing to maintaining a strong internal control environment.
  
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated financial control and technical accounting/advisory experience
  • Qualified CA or CPA
  • Exposure to ASX reporting
  • Experience within Big 4 or large mid-tier accounting firm highly regarded
