Finance Manager

2XM Finance is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a large and well known organisation based in the Perth CBD. Our client has a rich history with a very diverse offering and are seen as an iconic Australian organisation. They offer stability, a great culture and a very strong leadership team.

The role

The main purpose of the role is to take effective day to day management and leadership of the financial accounting team, with a focus on compliance, most recent accounting standards and both industry and internal policies. You will have overall responsibility for the financial accounting, payroll, accountants payable, insurance and reconciliations. Other key duties within the role include-

  • Meeting stakeholder expectations about service standards, quality and timelines of financial accounting information
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of financial records
  • Timely preparation of statutory financial reports in accordance with the Accounting Standards and relevant legislation
  • Meeting stakeholder expectations about service standards, quality and timelines of financial accounting information
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of financial records
  • Timely preparation of statutory financial reports in accordance with the Accounting Standards and relevant legislation
  • Oversee the month-end close process and adherence to timelines
  • Preparation of budgeting and forecasting
  • Provide rolling daily forecasts of cash flow and highlight any areas of concern
  • Ensuring the accounting function is efficiently in line with management and external audit requirements

Your Profile

The ideal finance manager will have a CA / CPA qualification and have a strong academic background. You would ideally have a strong experience gained in an accountancy practice before moving into a commercial role, ideally in a financial accounting role. The role will be managing a complex team, so you must have previous experience in managing a finance team. The role would suit a candidate who would be ambitious, with the longer term plan to move into the CFO role in 3-5 years. The role will work closely with senior executives as well as other managers from the wider business, so you must be confident, presentable and have strong communication and presentational skills.
